When creating your personal skincare routine, here are 4 key questions to consider:
Are my basics covered?
In order to support the functions of each step, you need the basics which means a cleanser and nourishment.
Then you will be able to mindfully add or adjust the rest of your routine one step at a time knowing you have the basic pillars for happy and healthy skin.
When was the last time I updated my products?
If a product is expired, rancid, or covered in dust, it’s time to let go! Also, if you’ve been using the same skincare formula for many years, you may be missing out on a fresh formula better suited for your current skin needs.
Just because something worked well in high school doesn’t mean your present or future skin will benefit from it. Time to upgrade!
Am I consistent with my skincare routine?
You can own all the best products, but if you’re not consistent, you won’t notice a difference in your skin.
If you've never followed a skincare routine before, it’s okay! I recommend visiting a licensed esthetician (hello!) to guide you on personalized steps to help you feel confident in getting started.
How does my skincare make me feel?
A skincare routine should be an enjoyable process! If you don’t like the texture, smell, packaging, etc of a product, you likely won’t feel inspired to use it.
Pay attention to these intuitive clues which can help you find the right products.
